Privacy Policy

Privacy and transparency concerning personal data is an important topic for us. Therefore we would like to inform you with these terms of privacy how your personal data is processed and stored and how you can influence data exchange with others. These terms of privacy complement our terms of conditon.

• iculco processes and stores personal data in accordance with the terms of privacy of the European Union and the privacy laws of the Federal Republic of Germany
• iculco stores personal data only to offer services to registered users of the iculco web platform. In no cirumstances personal data is passed to thord parties for advertisment or marketing.
• With the exception of the general information to the intercultural background of a person the user decides on his own with whom he wants to share his personal data. Only regsitered users may have access to personal data.

Which data ist stored by our platform?

The following information have to be provided while registering:

• Firstname and name
• Gender
• E-Mail-Address
• Password

Additonally in the second step of the registration the following information may be be provided

• Date fo brith
• Nationality (country)
• Location (country and city)
• Spoken languages and language level
• About Me text
• Your intercultural background
• Photo
• Company
• Position

The following information are visibile for all registered members:

• Firstname and name
• Spoken languages
• About Me text
• Your intercultural background
• Photo

For all other information you have to decide on your own which group of persons is allowed to see your data.

Other members of iculco may try to get in contact with you. Contact requests are stored in your contact lists. After accepting a contact request this contact will show up in your list of confirmed contacts. Confiremd contacts are visible fir alle members of iculco and are shown in the box "Contacts" on your profile page. In your privacy settings you can specify the visibility of specific profile properties fort your contacts.

On the iculco platform you can take part oin courses to strengthen your intercultural competence. After you have been activated to take part in a course you are a member of the iculco academy. Your iculco academy membership is visible for all registered members. Additionally all members of a course can see all other participants.

A special form of contact request is a tandem partner request. Within a course the participants can form learn tandems. A tandem partner request is similar to a standard contact request, but the visibilty of profile properties can be specifically defined for tandem partners.

Other members can send you private messages. Private messages are only visible for the sender and the recipient.

Firmenprofile

While creating a company profile the following information are requested:

• Name of the company
• Name extension
• E-Mail-Address
• Website
• Industry
• About us text

Furthermore the following modifications can be applied to a company profile:

• contact information
• company logo

The visibility of a company profile can be restricted to company members. Name, name extension, logo and location are always visible in search results.

The following information can be unlocked in the rights management interface for specific roles within the company:

• Company members (default: visible for all)
• Message inbox / orivate message of a company (default: visible for managers)
• courses and course members (default: visible for managers)
• Memberships and products (default: visible for managers)

Cookies

"Cookies" are small files that allow the storage of personal data on your PC or other equipment while you are using our platform. Iculco uses cookies to store so called session cookies which can be used to identify you after logging in. After logging out theres cookies are deleted.

Furthermore iculco uses persistent cookies to track information about users that access iculco repeatedly. These cookies do not store any persomal data like names or ip addresses.

You can deactivated the permant storage of cookies in your browser or deleted cookies at any time from your hard drive. Please note that you cannot use our services without enabling session cookies.

Logfiles

On every page request the following information is stored on our servers in a log file:

• time, status, the request your browser posted to our server, the size of data transfered and the page our were coming from (referrer)
• the product and version nummer of your browser (user-agent)

icuclo uses the standard combined logfile format of the apache webserver. The log files are anonymized without any mapping to users.In the future iculco may use the data from log files to identify illegal or contrary to contract use of our platform.
